• No.Regrets.Dating. screens members and, on request, scanners against the U.S. sex offender registry.
• That is the only check we run. We do not perform criminal-records, employment verification, identity-theft monitoring, OFAC screening, civil court records, or international records checks outside the U.S.
• Public sex-offender registries can be incomplete, out of date, mis-indexed, or missing entries entirely - including recent offenses not yet indexed, sealed or expunged records, and jurisdictions that do not publish digital records.
• A "clear" result means nothing was returned by the queried sources at the time of the query. It is not a clearance of character, history, or future behavior.
• Background checks rely on the name, date of birth, and ZIP/postal code submitted at scan time. People can submit false or altered information to evade detection.
• Non-U.S. scanners. Because the sex offender registry indexes U.S. records only, scanners outside the United States will not appear regardless of their actual history. For non-U.S. scanners the platform displays a "no background check available" notice instead of running the check. Members should treat that as no information either way, not as a clearance, and rely entirely on in-person safety practices when deciding whether to meet.

Anyone - verified or not - can lie, change, or harm. Always use the same precautions you would use to meet any stranger:

• Meet in a public place.
• Tell a friend or family member where you'll be and who you'll be with.
• Arrange your own transportation to and from the meeting.
• Don't share home address, workplace, or financial information on a first meeting.
• Trust your instincts - leave any situation that feels off.

No.Regrets.Dating. is a verification and introduction utility. We are not a chaperone, an escort, an investigator, or a guarantor of safety. Once a card is handed off in person, everything that happens before, during, or after is outside our control and outside our liability. Background-check results provided through this platform are for the limited purpose of platform safety screening only. They are not a "consumer report" under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, and users agree not to use results to make decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, tenancy, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA or analogous state laws.

All paid memberships and card-pack subscriptions include a 4-day cancellation buffer. If you cancel within four (4) calendar days of any charge, that charge is fully refunded. Cancellations after the 4-day window take effect at the end of the current billing cycle and are not refunded. Full details are in Section 10 of the Terms.

Members are U.S.-based. We ship physical cards within the United States only (50 states, DC, and supported APO/FPO addresses) and do not warrant compliance with the laws of any country outside the United States.

Scanners can be anywhere. Anyone who is handed a card, including travelers and people outside the U.S., can submit a scan and chat with the member who gave them the card. The only functional limitation is that our background-check provider queries U.S. sex-offender-registry data only, so non-U.S. scanners cannot be meaningfully screened — the platform will show "no background check available" rather than a false "clear." Members are expected to factor that in.

• Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, Connecticut, and Florida residents. This safety notice is provided to you in conspicuous form as required by your state's Internet Dating Safety / Online Dating Safety statute, and it is also presented to every new member during onboarding before any card is ordered. The platform's background check is limited to the U.S. sex offender registry; we do not perform county-by-county felony searches, criminal-records lookups, civil court records, employment verification, or international records checks. Communicating online with strangers carries inherent risk; please review the personal-safety practices above before meeting anyone in person.
• New York residents (Gen. Bus. Law § 394-c). You have the right to cancel any dating-service contract within three (3) business days of signing up by sending us written notice (email to hello@no-regrets-dating.com is sufficient) and receive a full refund. Our standard 4-day cancellation buffer (see Section 10 of the Terms) meets or exceeds this requirement.
• California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon residents. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a universal opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" of personal information. See our Privacy Policy §9 for full state-by-state privacy rights.

To report a safety concern, abuse, or a user who provided false information, open the in-app Report tool or email hello@no-regrets-dating.com. For urgent safety matters always contact local emergency services first.
