Terms & Conditions
Effective date: June 2026.
By creating an account, ordering cards, or submitting information through a scanned card, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and the data practices described below. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Section 1: Introduction, Service Definition, and Entity Format
- Legal Entity. All references to "the Platform," "We," "Us," or "Our" refer to No.Regrets.Dating LLC, registered in the state of Connecticut.
- Voluntary Contractual Agreement. By accessing, browsing, or creating an account, you enter a legally binding contract. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using the platform.
- Service Definition. The platform is an interim verification and safety-screening utility. It is not a traditional matchmaking marketplace, dating app, or public bulletin board.
- Utility Framing. We provide structured, user-controlled verification tools to facilitate baseline transparency between consenting adults who have already met or interacted in the physical world.
Section 2: The "No Regrets" Brand Clarification & Disclaimer
- Definition of Efficiency. The trademark "no.regrets.dating" refers exclusively to an efficiency and time-saving design philosophy.
- Intent Statement. The name denotes our intent to streamline real-world introductions, minimize incompatible first dates, and bypass traditional online matching noise via operational screening filters.
- Emotional & Safety Exclusion. The name does not constitute or guarantee an emotional outcome, chemistry, dating success, satisfaction, or physical compatibility.
- Disclaimer of Regret. We disclaim any liability for emotional distress, disappointment, or "regretful" social experiences arising from off-site or real-world interactions.
Section 3: Eligibility, Age Gates, and Account Security
- Age Requirement. Users must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Age Gate Logic. Users must input an accurate date of birth during onboarding. The system uses automated birth-year/birth-month logic to calculate eligibility.
- Misrepresentation Penalty. Any attempt by a minor to bypass the age gate by falsifying data is a material breach of contract and fraud and will result in immediate, irreversible lifetime ban and forfeiture of any processed fees.
- Guardian Indemnification. If a minor accesses the service via falsified data, the user's parent or legal guardian assumes full financial and legal liability for any resulting claims.
- Admin Authentication. Administrative portals are protected by mandatory multi-factor authentication and anomalous sign-in tracking. Users are required to generate high-entropy passwords screened against known compromised credential registries.
Section 4: Data Practices - Members (Cardholders)
"Members" are users who order and carry physical No.Regrets cards. The following describes what we collect from members and how we use it.
- Account data. Email, password hash, display name, date of birth, city, photo(s), bio, profile prompts. Used to operate your account and render your card / profile.
- Government ID. Required once during onboarding to verify name, likeness, and DOB. Images are encrypted in transit and reviewed manually by a human administrator. We do not record, cache, log, or store driver's license numbers, passport numbers, or state ID serial numbers, and we do not run automated AI or facial-recognition analysis on ID images. ID images are retained for up to three (3) days after verification or rejection for fraud and dispute review, then automatically and permanently deleted by a daily purge job. If your ID is rejected, you may upload a corrected ID from your dashboard; the prior image is deleted and the new submission is re-reviewed by a human administrator.
- Selfie / biometric notice. Profile photos and scanner selfies are face images used for visual identification only. We do not generate, store, or share faceprints, face geometry templates, or other "biometric identifiers" or "biometric information" as those terms are defined under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Texas CUBI, or the Washington biometric statute. No facial recognition, face-matching, or automated face-classification is performed on these images.
- Billing data. Handled entirely by Stripe (see Section 10). We never see or store raw card numbers or bank credentials.
- Card scans you receive. When someone scans your card, the scanner's info flows to you under the masking rules in Section 9. We retain a record of the scan event so the match and reporting tools work.
- Retention. Account data is retained while your account is active. On deletion, profile data is removed and any remaining scan rows are anonymized.
- No sale of data. We do not sell, rent, or commercially license member data, email addresses, or metadata to third-party ad networks, data brokers, or any other commercial third party. Period.
Section 5: Data Practices - Scanners (Non-Member Recipients of a Card)
"Scanners" are people who receive a physical card from a member and submit information through it. Scanners do not have an account. The following describes what we collect from scanners and how it is handled.
Scanner consent. Before submitting any information through a scanned card, the scanner is presented with a plain-language consent screen describing what is collected, what the member will see, and how the data is retained or scrubbed. Submitting the form constitutes acceptance of these Terms as applied to scanners.
- What scanners provide. First and last name, email address, ZIP or postal code, date of birth, a selfie photo, intentions, and short prompts. This is the minimum needed for the member to identify them and to run an optional background check. We do not collect or store scanner phone numbers, and the platform does not send SMS to scanners or members. All scanner notifications (chat replies, safety updates, match status) are delivered exclusively by email to the address the scanner provided, after a one-time email verification code.
- Automatic background check. Every scan is automatically screened against the U.S. sex offender registry the moment it is submitted. This is free, unlimited, and applies to every scan on every member plan — members are not charged per check. If the lookup returns a possible match, the scan is hidden from the member's feed and routed to admin review before the member sees anything.
- International scanners. Scanners outside the United States may submit a scan and chat with a member, but our background-check provider only queries the U.S. sex offender registry. A non-U.S. scanner will not appear in that dataset regardless of their actual history. Members should weigh this when deciding whether to meet.
- Data minimization. The scanner's exact date of birth is used in-flight to run the automatic registry lookup and is then permanently scrubbedfrom our database on completion. Only birth month and birth year are retained so the member can see an approximate age and so we can match against the member's ban list. Name, ZIP, selfie, and contact email are retained for the life of the match so the member can recognize their scanner and open chat.
- What the member sees. First name only, approximate age, the selfie, intentions, where you met, and the scanner's short answers. Last name, email address, ZIP, and full DOB are never displayed to the member.
- Reports and admin unmasking. If a member reports a scanner, an administrator may unmask the scanner's full name, email, and selfie for safety review. ZIP and full DOB are only available to admins if the scrub has not yet run.
- Duplicate-identity flag. If a background check returns information identical to an existing member's record (e.g., same legal name + DOB), the record is automatically flagged for internal admin review.
- No sale of data. Scanner data is never sold, rented, or licensed to third parties for any purpose.
- Retention. Identifying scanner data is retained only as long as needed to support the member's match or an active report; otherwise it is scrubbed per the rules above.
Section 6: Operational Tracking, Advertising, and Ambassador Program
- Ambassador / promo attribution. We retain the right to track ambassador promo code usage strictly for internal billing, analytics, and affiliate compensation. This data is not shared with outside ad networks.
- Analytics and paid advertising. The platform uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-RZKG9CDSKR) for aggregate, IP-anonymized usage measurement, and Google Ads conversion tracking to attribute paid-ad clicks to on-site actions such as sign-up or card order. We do not enable Google Signals, demographics/interests reporting, cross-device tracking, remarketing, or customer-match audiences, and we do not sell user data to Google or any other ad network. The service is directed to users in the United States; by using the platform from the U.S. you consent to these cookies and tags, and we do not display a separate cookie consent banner. Visitors from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland are not the intended audience and should not use the service, as we do not currently operate a GDPR/ePrivacy consent management platform. Full disclosures, the cookies set, and your opt-out options are described in the Privacy Policy, Section 6. By using the platform you acknowledge these measurement practices.
- Ambassador program terms. Ambassadors are independent promoters, not employees, agents, or partners of No.Regrets.Dating LLC. Ambassadors may not (a) make claims about safety outcomes, match outcomes, or background-check accuracy beyond what is stated on the platform; (b) impersonate the company; (c) buy paid ads using the company's trademarks without prior written consent; (d) distribute promo codes through spam, deceptive content, or any channel targeting minors. Payouts accrue only on completed, non-refunded transactions, are paid on our published schedule through the processor of our choice, and are forfeited on ambassador termination for cause. We may suspend, modify, or terminate the program, individual accounts, or any code at any time without notice. All ambassadors must be 18+ and U.S.-based.
- Service providers. We use limited service providers strictly to operate the platform: Stripe (payments), our background-check provider (U.S. sex-offender-registry lookups), our AI provider (date-ideation and support bot), our hosting/database provider, and Google (Analytics + Ads measurement, as described above). These vendors process data only on our instructions and only as needed to deliver the service. They are not permitted to sell or repurpose your data.
Section 7: Automated Background Screening and Admin Triage
- Pre-screening gate. No member may unlock matching, communication, or active platform features until they pass an automated sex-offender-registry background check.
- AI-first triage. All background check outputs are evaluated automatically by the platform's AI screening system, which compares results against the eligibility criteria below before activating or suspending an account. Human admins review only flagged or borderline outcomes.
- Right to ban. The platform reserves the sole, absolute, and unappealable right to suspend, permanently terminate, remove, and ban any account, member, scanner, or ambassador at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, and at the platform's sole discretion - including but not limited to: a background check returning an unacceptable public-record flag, sex-offender registry match; falsified profile, scan, or identity details (including when a scanner's background check matches an existing member record); reported conduct, harassment, threats, or safety concerns (whether substantiated or pending review); repeated declines, blocks, or ignored scans against a user; abuse of the card, QR, scan, or matching system; chargebacks, payment disputes, or attempted fee circumvention; violation of these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law; or any other behavior the platform determines, in its sole judgment, to be inconsistent with the safety, integrity, or spirit of the service. No refund, credit, or compensation is owed for accounts removed under this clause.
- Ongoing monitoring limit. Membership requires continuous eligibility, but the platform does not assume an ongoing legal obligation to run real-time background checks continuously.
- Post-registration disclosure. If a user is added to a sex offender registry post-onboarding, their account will be permanently banned. We disclaim all liability for delayed detection of a user's post-registration registry status.
- Accuracy disclaimer - third-party data. Background checks rely on public records and third-party data providers. These sources may be incomplete, out-of-date, mis-indexed, or simply wrong. Records may be missing entirely (e.g., recent offenses not yet indexed, sealed or expunged records, jurisdictions that do not publish digitally), and conversely a "clear" result does not mean a person has no history - it means nothing was returned by the queried sources at the time of the query. We do not independently verify the accuracy or completeness of third-party data and disclaim all liability for false negatives, false positives, stale records, or any decision a user makes in reliance on a check result.
- Accuracy disclaimer - user-submitted data. Background checks are only as accurate as the name, date of birth, and other identifiers submitted. Users may submit false, altered, or another person's information to evade detection. We use manual human ID review and automated screening of background-check results to reduce this risk but cannot eliminate it, and we disclaim all liability for harm caused by undetected falsification.
- Not a substitute for personal safety practices. A passed background check is not a guarantee of safety, character, or future behavior. Members and scanners are expected to continue using the same in-person safety practices they would use to meet any stranger off the platform - meet in public, tell a friend, arrange independent transportation, and trust your instincts. The platform is a screening utility, not a substitute for judgment.
- Not an FCRA "consumer report." Background checks are provided for the limited purpose of platform safety screening. Results are not intended to be used for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or analogous state laws, and users agree not to use results for any such purpose.
- Automatic screening on every scan; on-screen disclaimer for manual re-runs. Every scan is automatically screened against the U.S. sex offender registry at the moment of submission — no per-check fee, no per-member quota, on every plan. If a member manually re-runs the check on a matched scanner, the platform displays a point-of-request disclaimer that must be affirmatively acknowledged before the check is executed. By clicking "I understand - run the check," the member confirms that: (a) the platform queries the U.S. sex offender registry only — no criminal, employment, housing, credit, civil-court, or international records are reviewed; (b) the underlying registry data may be incomplete, out of date, mis-indexed, or missing entirely, and a "clear" result is not a clearance of character; (c) the check is only as accurate as the name, DOB, and ZIP/postal code the scanner provided, which may be falsified; (d) non-U.S. scanners cannot be meaningfully screened because the dataset only indexes U.S. records; (e) the result is not an FCRA consumer report and may not be used for employment, housing, credit, insurance, tenancy, or any other FCRA-covered purpose; and (f) the check is a screening utility and does not replace in-person safety precautions.
- No warranty; release of defamation and related claims. Sex-offender-registry results are sourced from third-party public records aggregated by our background-check provider. The platform makes no representation or warranty — express or implied — that any result is complete, accurate, current, correctly indexed, or attributable to the right person. Records may be missing, duplicated, mis-attributed, outdated, or incorrectly matched to a name and date of birth that is not in fact the subject of the record. By using the platform you (a) acknowledge that any "hit" or "clear" displayed in the app is unverified raw data, not a statement of fact by No.Regrets.Dating. about any person, (b) agree not to republish, screenshot, post, or otherwise distribute any background-check result outside the platform, and (c) on behalf of yourself, your heirs, and your assigns, release, waive, and forever discharge No.Regrets.Dating., its officers, employees, contractors, and background-check provider from any and all claims — including, without limitation, claims for defamation, libel, slander, false light, invasion of privacy, intentional or negligent infliction of emotional distress, tortious interference, negligence, or any related tort — arising out of or relating to the display, accuracy, inaccuracy, completeness, incompleteness, presence, absence, or your interpretation or use of any background-check result. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless No.Regrets.Dating. from any third-party claim brought against it as a result of your republication or misuse of any background-check result.
- State dating-safety law compliance. The disclosures on the /safety page are incorporated into these Terms by reference and satisfy the on-site disclosure requirements of state dating-safety laws including the New Jersey Internet Dating Safety Act, the New York Internet Dating Safety Act, the Illinois Internet Dating Safety Act, the Texas Online Dating Safety Act, the Connecticut Internet Dating Service Consumer Protection Act, the Virginia Internet Dating Service Act, and analogous Florida statutes. Members are shown the safety notice in conspicuous form during onboarding before any card is ordered.
- Automated decision-making — right to human review. ID verification is performed manually by a human administrator. Evaluation of U.S. sex-offender-registry results is performed by automated systems. If a decision rejects your ID or terminates your account, you may request further human review by replying to the rejection email or writing to hello@no-regrets-dating.com. A human administrator will re-evaluate your case and you may submit additional information.
- New York 3-day cancellation right (Gen. Bus. Law § 394-c). New York residents may cancel any dating-service contract within three (3) business days of signing up by sending written notice to hello@no-regrets-dating.com and receive a full refund. Our standard 4-day cancellation buffer in Section 10 meets or exceeds this requirement.
Section 8: Anti-Harassment Safeguards and Communication Limits
- Per-scanner submission cap. Any given scanner (identified by normalized first + last name combined with either date of birth or ZIP code) is technologically limited to a maximum of two (2) submissions to the same member, ever. Further attempts are blocked automatically at the platform layer.
- Mutual-match gating. Even within those two attempts, no communication channel opens unless and until the member affirmatively approves the scan. Unapproved scans never become two-way contact.
- Member-controlled QR rotation. Members may rotate (disable) the QR codes on any cards already in circulation at any time from their dashboard. Once rotated, prior QR codes show a "This card is no longer active" page and cannot be used to submit a scan or re-enter an existing match thread. Rotation does not delete prior scans, matches, or chat history.
- Anti-stalking. If a member declines, blocks, or ignores a scanner, that scanner is permanently restricted from re-initiating contact or re-scanning that token.
- User control. Users retain full autonomy via in-app reporting and real-time blocking.
- First-contact consent. Communication is bounded behind double-blind mutual matching confirmations. After a member approves a scan, the chat thread opens immediately. The 5-day (Basic) or 7-day (Premium) countdown begins the first time the member opens the chat. On-demand and bookable 15-minute video calls are available from inside the chat for both parties; video calls are optional and are not required to use chat.
Section 9: PII Masking, Off-Platform Activity, and Assumption of Risk
- PII masking. The platform automatically masks last names, phone numbers, email addresses, and physical coordinates. Profiles display first names only.
- Voluntary sharing. If a user voluntarily shares their last name, phone number, address, or social handles via in-app chat, they do so entirely at their own risk.
- Anonymity waiver. We disclaim all liability for harassment, off-platform stalking, or physical harm resulting from a user voluntarily bypassing the anonymity shields.
- Off-platform card handoffs. Once a member physically hands a card to another person, anything that occurs during, around, or after that handoff - including the in-person interaction itself, any subsequent contact, harm, harassment, or property loss - is entirely outside the platform's control and outside No.Regrets.Dating's liability. The member is solely responsible for the decision to hand a card to any given person.
- Off-platform conduct generally. No.Regrets.Dating is a verification and introduction utility, not a chaperone, escort, or guarantor. Anything that happens off the platform - in person, over text, over phone, over social media, or anywhere else - including but not limited to bodily harm, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, theft, fraud, defamation, emotional distress, or property damage - is outside our control and outside our liability. Users are solely responsible for their own safety and for vetting the people they choose to meet.
- Bodily injury waiver. Because all video validation and in-person dating activities occur off-site and outside our control, the user assumes 100% of all physical, financial, and emotional risks. We disclaim any liability for third-party bodily injury, property damage, or distress occurring during real-world dates.
- Use standard real-world safety practices. Users are expected to continue using the same safety practices they would apply to meeting any stranger, regardless of any verification or background check the platform performs. This includes meeting in public, telling a friend where you'll be, arranging your own transportation, and trusting your instincts.
Section 10: Membership Billing, Stripe Processing, and Cancellation
- Stripe. 100% of financial transactions, subscription processing, and billing management are handled off-site via the Stripe API. We never process, see, or store raw card or bank details. We disclaim all liability for processing errors, token failures, or breaches within Stripe's network.
- Two membership tiers. Every account selects one of the following recurring memberships, billed monthly via Stripe in U.S. dollars:
- Basic - $10.00 / month. Includes platform access, core profile (first name and one photo), fun match-prompt questions, unlimited on-demand and bookable in-chat video calls, AI date-ideation ("wingmate") tailored to each match, automatic sex-offender-registry screening on every scan and unlimited manual re-runs — no per-check fee, and a 5-day post-match chat window. Card packs are sold separately at $30.00 per pack of 30 cards as one-time purchases.
- Premium - $25.00 / month. Includes everything in Basic, plus an expanded profile shown to scanners (up to 5 photos, bio, and interests), the ability to resurrect one expired chat per calendar month ("buy back a week"), a one-time +24-hour chat extension per match when more time is needed, and a 7-day post-match chat window. Card packs are sold separately at $20.00 per pack of 30 cards as one-time purchases.
- Card packs (one-time purchases). At signup, your first 30-card pack is charged once and shipped to your default address. After that, you may purchase additional 30-card packs at any time from your dashboard at your tier's then-current per-pack rate ($30.00 Basic / $20.00 Premium). There is no recurring card-pack charge and no auto-shipping; packs are billed and shipped only when you place an order.
- Card boosters. When ordering a pack, you may optionally add +5 cards ($5.00) or +10 cards ($10.00) at a flat rate of $1.00 per booster card. Boosters ship together with the standard 30-card pack.
- Plan changes.
- Upgrades (Basic → Premium) take effect immediately. When you upgrade, Stripe charges a one-time $15.00 upgrade fee and your membership becomes Premium. Your next regular membership charge at $25.00 occurs on your existing monthly billing date — no cycle reset, no proration. Future card-pack purchases use Premium pricing ($20.00 per pack).
- Downgrades (Premium → Basic) take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Premium features remain active through that date; no partial refund is issued. After the switch, future card-pack purchases use Basic pricing ($30.00 per pack).
- Automatic renewal. All memberships and card-pack subscriptions are structured on automatic recurring renewal. Unless cancelled before the billing cycle date, you authorize Stripe to charge your designated payment method for the upcoming period at the then-current published rate.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time via Account Settings → Billing → Cancel, or by opening the Stripe Customer Portal from the same screen. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; access - and any already-paid-for card-pack shipment - continues through that date.
- 4-Day Cancellation Buffer (Refund Window). Every charge - membership fee, card-pack charge, or booster - carries a four (4) calendar-day cancellation buffer starting at the moment the charge is processed. If you cancel within that 4-day window, the full amount of that specific charge is refunded to your original payment method via Stripe. The refund rule is binary: refund = full charge if cancelled within 4 days; refund = $0 if cancelled after. No partial or prorated refunds are issued outside the buffer. The 4-day buffer does not apply to a card-pack shipment that has already been handed to the carrier - once a shipment is in transit, it is non-refundable regardless of timing.
- Failed payments. If a charge fails, Stripe will retry on its standard dunning schedule. Platform access may be suspended after the final retry fails; the account is restored automatically when the payment method is updated and a charge succeeds.
- No refunds outside the 4-day buffer. Except for the 4-day cancellation buffer above, all charges - membership fees, card-pack charges, booster charges, and any other fees - are non-refundable. No partial-month refunds or prorated credits are issued, including for accounts terminated mid-cycle for background-check failure, falsified information, or violation of these terms.
- Card use. Cards have zero cash value and may not be resold, leased, gifted in bulk, or distributed commercially.
- Shipping. Physical cards are fulfilled and shipped by our third-party print partner. We ship within the United States only (50 states, DC, and APO/FPO addresses where the carrier supports them). We do not ship internationally; orders entered with non-U.S. addresses will be cancelled and refunded for the card portion only. Estimated delivery is 4–10 business days from the date the shipment is charged. This window is an estimate only; we are not responsible if a shipment takes longer than 10 business days to arrive. We are also not responsible for carrier delays, packages marked delivered but not received, or shipments returned due to incorrect addresses entered by the user. Replacement of lost shipments is at our sole discretion.
- Banning and forfeiture. If your account is banned for cause - background-check failure, falsified information, abuse of the platform, harassment of other users, or any other violation of these terms - all prepaid fees and undelivered shipments are forfeited with no refund. Banned users may submit one (1) written protest to hello@no-regrets-dating.com within thirty (30) days of the ban; the decision on protest is final and at our sole discretion.
- Chargebacks. The 4-day cancellation buffer is the exclusive refund mechanism. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card network outside that 4-day window - instead of requesting a refund through us - is a material breach of these Terms and will result in (a) immediate account termination, (b) forfeiture of all undelivered shipments, and (c) our right to recover the disputed amount, our processor's dispute fees, and reasonable collection costs.
Section 11: Third-Party AI Providers and AI Disclaimers
- LLM disclosure. The post-match date-ideation feature and 24/7 support bot use third-party large language model providers (currently Google Gemini) to process preferences and recommend venues. We may swap or add LLM providers over time without updating these Terms.
- Hallucination disclaimer. This is experimental LLM technology provided "as-is." We do not verify, monitor, or guarantee the accuracy, operational status, safety, or security of any establishment suggested by the AI.
- Independent verification. Users are solely responsible for independently verifying venue safety, weather, neighborhood, and operating hours before planning or executing an in-person meeting.
- Non-binding support. Automated AI chat support is strictly informational and cannot modify company policies or create binding contracts. AI support does not replace emergency response networks (e.g., 911).
Section 12: Legal Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Compatibility
- "As-is" service. Web services, software, and verification protocols are provided strictly on an "As-Is" and "As-Available" basis without warranties of any kind.
- No guarantee of matches or outcomes. Your membership pays for access to the platform — not for matches, messages, dates, relationships, or any other outcome. Whether you receive cards, scans, replies, or matches depends entirely on the independent choices of other users, who may decline, ignore, or unmatch at any time for any reason. No.Regrets.Dating LLC makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee — express or implied — as to the number, quality, frequency, or compatibility of any matches or interactions you may receive, and refunds will not be issued on the basis of a lack of matches, messages, dates, chemistry, or relationship outcomes. You acknowledge that dating outcomes are inherently subjective and outside the company's control.
- Browser / device compatibility. We are not liable for data lag, video latency, dropouts, or rendering errors caused by local internet speeds, outdated browsers, or local device configurations.
- Liability cap. In no event shall No.Regrets.Dating LLC be liable for an amount exceeding the lesser of $100 or the total membership fees paid by the user during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event triggering the claim.
Section 13: Dispute Resolution, Mandatory Arbitration, and Choice of Law
- Governing law. These Terms and any legal actions arising from platform use are governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles.
- Binding arbitration. Any controversy, claim, or dispute arising out of these terms or platform operations must be settled exclusively through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), rather than in a court of law.
- Class action waiver. Users waive their right to participate as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceedings against the company.
- One-year limitation period. Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to these Terms or use of the platform must be filed within one (1) year after the event giving rise to it, or be permanently barred, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless No.Regrets.Dating LLC and its officers, members, employees, contractors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use or misuse of the platform, (b) your interactions with any other user or scanner on or off the platform, (c) content or information you submit, (d) your violation of these Terms or any law, and (e) your infringement of any third-party right.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labor disputes, carrier failures, internet or power outages, or failures of third-party providers (including Stripe, our background-check provider, our print/fulfillment partner, our LLM provider, and our hosting provider).
Section 14: Communications, Privacy Rights, Account Deletion, and General Provisions
- Transactional communications. By creating an account you agree to receive transactional emails related to account verification, security, shipments, matches, scan and chat-reply notifications, and billing. These are necessary to operate the service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active. We do not send SMS or text messages of any kind, and we do not collect phone numbers from members or scanners.
- Marketing communications. Marketing emails are opt-in and may be unsubscribed at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email. We comply with CAN-SPAM for U.S. recipients.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise these rights, contact hello@no-regrets-dating.com.
- EU/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR). To the extent the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection regarding your personal data. Our lawful bases are contract performance, legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention), and consent where required. Submit requests to hello@no-regrets-dating.com.
- Account deletion. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing hello@no-regrets-dating.com. Upon deletion, profile data is removed and remaining scan records are anonymized, subject to limited retention required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or safety-report purposes.
- DMCA / copyright takedown. If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright (e.g., a profile photo used without authorization), send a written DMCA notice including the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated agent at hello@no-regrets-dating.com. We will respond to valid notices and may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets without restriction.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with any policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the platform and supersede any prior agreements.
Section 15: Changes, Contact, and Legal Notices
- Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- General contact. Questions about these Terms or your data may be sent to hello@no-regrets-dating.com.
- Mailing address. No.Regrets.Dating., PO Box #2032, USPS Short Beach, 5 Court St, Branford, CT 06405-9991.
